When I started this totally new business 18 months ago I had absolutely no idea about where and how to purchase dresses from suppliers – don’t get me wrong I knew how to buy a beautiful dress but didn’t know where to start with purchasing dresses to sell in the shop.
When Julie supported me in my early days she talked me through the dresses she already had and kept spouting out code numbers for dresses and I thought I am never going to remember all this – but 18 months down the line I am now spouting out code numbers too!
Julie and her husband Steve very kindly took me to London and introduced me to her main designer – Angel Forever by Elegancia. I was in my element with a whole floor of amazing dresses to look at but at the same time very nervous about making a purchase – even so, I came home with a box full in the boot of my car!!
Angel Forever are fabulous and are always on hand to answer any queries and they have a great system in place which makes ordering easy – sending dresses out for a next day delivery if in stock or placing an order for production if not. Angel Forever have an amazing collection of dresses from fitted jersey to floaty chiffon to the more adventurous mermaid/waterfall styles and ballgowns. They have beautiful quality fabrics with hand-sewn beading, jewels and sequins.
It is important to note if you are looking for a prom dress then the designers place their orders at around the beginning of March so after then the choice reduces.
In September we have the amazing Bridal Show in Harrogate where all the designers showcase their new designs and we place orders for the coming year. I can’t wait to see what 2020 has to offer. Watch this space!!!
During the year I have taken on new designers – Pia Michi and Christian Koehlert – Both these designers differ in style to Angel Forever so hopefully offering more choice of styles to my customers.
I am also excited to announce that I have recently been approached by another designer – Dynasty-London. Bupen came along to the shop with around 75 fabulous dresses and I fell in love with them all. I have placed an order and can't wait for these stunning dresses to arrive in January.
